To Cher: I've been your fan and admirer for 50 years. There will never be enough words to say how much I respect you!!! I've witnessed your many, many ups and downs, especially with Sonny. I know that the show was "The Sonny and Cher Show". But YOU CARRIED THE SHOW!!! I loved your Bob Mackie costumes!!! I listened to your many, many hits - especially "Believe"!!! I just want to thank you for being you. And for breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry!!!

I had the privilege of seeing Sonny & Che IN PERSONr in Memphis, Tn. In 1971 at The Coliseum!! This was JUST at the beginning of their fabulous variety show. And guess who OPENED FOR THEM?? STEVE MARTIN- before he was a movie star! CHER IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!

The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour was perfectly timed for 1971. Nobody has ever seen such outfits in prime time and a glamour gal doing wacky characters in wacky getups. Plus, it was much later in a rerun that I realized Steve Martin was part of the supporting comedy troupe. I knew I'd seen him somewhere before.....

As a young teenager in the late 60s and early 70s, I was heavily in lust with Cher. IMO, her best recording is her version of "Walking in Memphis", and her best movie is "Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean." "Moonstruck" is a close second. She's as gorgeous today as she was in 1970!

In 1990, my daughter was working at ‘Dole Whip’ a kiosk that used to be in the Hilton Hawaiian Village, she was only 17 years old and didn’t know who Sonny Bono was at the time. I heard his voice and immediately knew it was Sonny. I signed her as I was standing behind him. Sonny was suntanned and sandy.

Well, we all know by now the story of "Sonny & Cher" according by both versions as in Sonny's "The beat goes on" book he wrote a few years before his untimely death. Then there is the many different interviews CHER has giving the media on her take on their story. (both versions differ) I am not sure why anyone would buy this except for a hard core CHER fan? It is fun seeing the old clips of the "Sonny & Cher show" before CHER beautified her looks fixing her teeth, nose and a few face lifts. She was a unique beauty without the surgeries.
