It's differcult typing this without crying! First time I saw Cher was in the late sixties, I knew she was differant & special from any other performer I have ever seen. Then the Sonny & Cher show debuted in the seventies. Wow the beautiful costumes, wigs & that outstanding voice. I love Cher"s personality, she tells it like it is & doesn't sugar coat anything which I respect so much. Cher looks better than ever, who looks & performs that well at 78, nobody! BRAVO!! 🤗 Her induction to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is long overdue! My love of Cher goes back to those evenings of watching the "Sonny and Cher" show, with Chasity! It was must see TV, great music, crazy/ funny skits with various guests, and to see her Bob Mackie gowns! Miss those days... I've had the brief pleasure of meeting Cher years ago at her book signing in Santa Monica, after waiting for HOURS! She insisted on meeting and greeting the hundreds of her fans who waited outside, and around the block of the bookstore. Talk about caring and devotion of her fans. When I finally met her, I complimented her on her new CD, with the hit song "Believe". I mentioned it was too bad, that a current radio station in LA had changed it's format, because it would have played ALL her new music. She agreed, and was as nice in person as you might expect! Later, I went to see her during her "farewell tour" at the Arrowhead Pond, in Anaheim, to a packed house... Wild Orchid opened, then Cyndi Lauper!... then Cher! What a truly incredible evening as the entire audience danced and sang with her music... with "Believe" being the closing number! WOW! BTW... Cher is partially the reason for my pursuit of becoming an interior designer, because of her and Sonny's former mansion featured in Architectural Digest magazine. I had seen it during junior high school, and decided that was going to be my career! I also was fortunate to go to an open house, at their other mansion in Bel Air, later owned by Larry Flint!

Cher has been my crush since I was a small child. She is a few years older than me but I feel in love with her in the 70's and have never stopped. I have worn out tapes and CD's to many of her albums. From the time I was twenty, I've had a recurring dream that we meet in a grocery store. I recognize her but she has no idea who I am.
