I've been looking for a clip from Sonny & Cher and it's likely from this episode. I saw it when I was eleven, and I haven't seen it since. I remember it because it was so funny to me I got in a giggle fit and couldn't stop. My parents were asking me if I was gonna be okay! 😄 She sang George Harrison's song, "Something". A beautiful love song, but she sang it to _this Muppet!_ Pretty sure it was the same Muppet, I remember those giant Muppet feet and that face! I'm thinking that Cher got the giggles too, but she soldiered on and sang the song beautifully, even when she gazed into the monster's eyes and sang, "Attracts me like no other lover!" I probably had to get my asthma inhaler after that line. If anyone can find that clip and post it, I'll love them forever!

You're right, her costumes by Bob Mackie are works of art, and I would lose my mind if I could see them all in one place! I suggest a permanent museum in Vegas. Maybe have a "sing with Cher" opportunity where you can sing your favorite Cher songs in a duet with a holographic Cher of 1972! I think that would be a hoot. I was eleven when this show was on the air and I never missed it. It broke my heart when they divorced, but as an adult now with 2 divorces behind me, I understand that some folks are better apart, even if they do love each other. Bob Mackie also designed all of Carol Burnett's costumes for her show, but I think most people know that. I wanted to be a fashion designer for film and stage, and Bob Mackie was my idol. His designs are not just beautiful, they look fabulous from any angle!

I'm hoping they do! There's a clip, probably from this episode where Cher sings a heartfelt love song to this big, hairy, goofy Muppet monster. She sings the beautiful George Harrison song, "Something", and it is high comedy! She's gazing into the Muppet's eyes and crooning, "...attracts me like no other lover!" I remember being eleven and laughing so hard at that skit! I haven't seen it since, but I never forgot it.
