This show was the zenith of Jim Henson and his team's talent. They took an idea and made it a love letter to music, comedy and vaudeville/variety programs, and gave us a family show that was funny and tremendously entertaining. Linda Ronstadt, John Denver, Barbara Mandrell & Buddy Rich all had their agents book them on the Muppets. I didn't know this but Blondie until recently was apparently one of those bands that was appreciated more outside of the US. They were very big in Europe! When I hear the name, Blondie, I still think of the old comic strip first! LOL I watched a few of the old movies in the Blondie series that ran for 10-13 years (?). The funny thing is the title character was played by the same actress, Penny Singleton, who did the voice of Jane Jetson on The Jetsons. If you've watched the animated series (The Jetsons) it's so obvious Singleton was Jane because her voice didn't change! I know Debbie Harry. She was huge in the 1980s when I was growing up. I'm sure a LOT of guys had crushes on her. I thought she was very attractive in her prime (which is when she did The Muppet Show). She was the face and voice of Blondie whether people liked that or not. She's different but seems like a nice person.
