You could put David Bowie back in the 1920's and 30's and he'd be right up there with the crooners of the day. Put him in the 40's, 50's also and he'd fit right in. He was timeless....

@@BreockJamesHeale Well how come before my nieces were born i knew their personalities. y sister thought her Cancerian daughter would be a girly girl but i knew that sign are usually tomboys. And also knowing the Chinese Year personality also contributes hugely and not just the Sun sign but your moon sign too.I bet you are narrow minded because you have not used it properly and gained enough knowledge. All the people i got on best in life turned out compatible somehow weather Western or Chinese Astrology.
@BreockJamesHeale
@BreockJamesHeale 3 жыл бұрын
@@eifionphillips3004 If that story is even true then it would be absolutely nothing other than a lucky guess. There are a huge range of environmental and genetic factors which contribute to the formation of someone's personality. Psychologists have done plenty of research into this. I'm naturally a curious person and I've read plenty about astrology and had an astrological chart done and it's absolute nonsense. My sun sign is a cancer and it isn't even remotely descriptive of my personality. Anecdotes aside, the descriptions are so vague that you could take any of the traits etc ascribed to any given star sign and put them in a hat and any regular joe could pick a few out and some would resonate. There is also absolutely zero scientific evidence that this stuff is legitimate. Sorry.

I really love how special Young Americans always sounded live. Whether it was intentional or not, whenever David would go off script during this song I would always love it. When he asks "Happy?" at 5:10 and then says "aw you're no fun", I really think it just shows how much of a light he could have been to others around him. I miss that light a lot.

I remember seeing this when it aired, and I was kind of in disbelief, because it was a big step away from what he'd been doing only a few years before. Now, when I see it again, it is just a strange and a very unique performance from David Bowie. That is why it is really kind of important to watch now, because it shows a side of David Bowie we never saw otherwise, in his long career.

Whoa! What fun! Bowie at his hottest. They are having a blast together. Kinda kitschy, kinda shameless, kinda great. And they feed off of each other's silly, fun cheorgraphy. And that wig! Yikes! It made me smile, and even laugh. Encore!

i’m so glad youtube recommended this to me! i feel like nowadays artists are more worried about their stage presentation and appeal to the audience that they forget that sometimes all you need is just a band and a stage. These two were clearly having so much genuine fun and feeding off each other’s energy!

I probably watched this when it aired in 75, laying on the carpet in my pj's infront of the console TV. My mom loved to watch the Sonny and Cher show and then the Cher show. How could I appreciate it then? Nowhere near how I appreciate it now. What two giant talents! What pinnacles they both reached. Our lifetimes have been better for for it. This is a real treat to watch again.
