Great song. Pretty good cover. Both girls are beautiful, and Cherie has the Rock n' Roll chops of her years with the Runaways. What's with the uncomfortable looking crowd of young adults sitting in the foreground? That added nothing to the performance.

Cherie was a performer, Marie was much more sophisticated in her approach. I'm not saying ones better, just their demeanor on stage.

Cherie's voice is deeper than Marie's, and as others said it's edgier and more aggressive. Plus she sings for the majority of the song. Poor Cherie, she was truly lost in space without The Runaways- her talent was wasted on naff rubbishy songs and doing the twee matchy clothes/hair/dance twin thing with Marie. Just look at those Disney jumpers- cringe! Though this is probably the bet non-Runaways track she recorded- a guilty pleasure of mine!

When Brad Hamlin asked Marie Currie "Tell us how Messin' with the Boys came about." Marie said "That's a very long story, but I still to this day believe it is one of the best albums we could've made. We had the best musicians, songwriters, and a tremendous amount of support. I look back at recording that album with a smile." I don't think her sentence mentioned "Forced" anywhere in it. Might have to read that book again

That's too bad it came to this. I remember when this was out, Rainbow also had there version from the Down To Earth LP...I'm just glad that Ritchie Blackmore didn't a duet with his brother, that would have really sucked!!! I've always liked there version, but performing like this was dumb, they needed a band behind them.
