Canada is such a depressing country for those who have family ties in India . I can’t even imagine what you have been going through since 2020 A single mother in Canada delivering a baby . That too at canadian hospital where the healthcare is worse … I came to Canada with my baby when he was 10 months old along with my husband . Still I was not able to manage the postpartum and loneliness when my husband was away for work . More power to you .. ❤ You are such a strong women 🫶🏻

The people criticising NRI children who don’t speak malayalam will never understand the struggles. Parents spend their efforts to make sure they have a roof over their head and food on the table and don’t have time to sit down and teach them. Kids will naturally be speaking more at school where they speak English and don’t teach Malayalam. Language doesn’t come with our blood, it comes with our environment. I was lucky I lived near a Malayalee community so I learnt malayalam when I went to dance and Sunday school with them but I am most comfortable in English because that’s what I needed in my environment.

He won’t be able to communicate in malayalam just because she talks to him in malayalam. The Local language is not Malayalam and he is spending most of his time with people who speak English to him so that will be his language. If he were to stay with someone who speaks Malayalam to him 24/7 he would have been speaking Malayalam now.
