I think places like Toronto, Ontario, Vancouver etc have more population. Lots of Indians are living there. We have A very large Indian communities in Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, Vancouver, London, on. Etc. so we will see more Indians on the road than local Canadians. We will get all the Indian stuff. Brampton feels like punjab only. It’s depends on where we go in Canada. Places like Manitoba, Saskatchewan etc have a little population and still developing. These places a have less infrastructure and facilities than Ontario. It’s also depends on our mental state. It’s hard in the initial years to settle down. The weather is also harsh.

This message that u r giving out… I hope it reaches all the young ppl in Kerala who r being cheated by agencies who r promising them heaven if they go out of India and study. There are so many young kids who r forcing their parents to take loans from banks on high interests, many a time after keeping the only house they own as an assurance to the bank. After that these children are often forced to work as home nurses etc as the courses that they opted to study is not useful at all. I have been an NRI all my life and I know that there is no place like India. Let us hope your very impt message reaches out to as many ppl and saves many families from being separated from their children and financial devastation.

Tanvi since you got the PR, don't just sit on it. Enroll in a decent university and study for a 4 year full degree something very technical. That is the only way to get ahead in Canada. Canada is a very highly educated country. Hence your diploma mill certificates will not travel very far. Just an opinion from a very long term resident. I came to Canada 50 years ago with masters degree and completely retrained to become a professional accountant. It helped my career a lot. Control the variables you can control.

Saskatchewan is really a small town. Its called as the flat land. Students go to provinces like NS, PEI,SK etc for the ease of PR. Also when you are a student you will get small jobs, once you get a professional ones. Your life will be so much better. But if you would have chosen places like Vancouver, Toronto, Alberta etc the life would have been much better. At the end of the day it is a new country. Takes time to adapt and build your career from scratch. I have been living in Toronto for 8 years! Yes it is hard. But the struggle made me stronger and help me build a good career which i am proud of.

I understand your struggles… it’s not a better choice having a child before establishing understanding between parents… mainly financial understanding…. Guys won’t get mature like girls… when a girl goes through motherhood be aware in advance that a father always may not be able to understand the real struggles a mother goes through emotionally and mentally.. I always want to advise girls at least be in your late 20’s to start motherhood.. if you’re not getting enough attention from the other side you will be atleast be mature in some way. Older generation always had the liberty of family members or someone to support to start motherhood early but that’s not the case with current generation especially when they’re abroad and away from parents… it’s not that easy mentally.. it will create traumas later in life if nobody is there with us and lead to divorce..we feel like we did a great job but this will trigger and affect the rest of our life…everyone should understand every man may not be able to support emotionally or sometimes financially if he’s not established financially during the first time of delivery.. it’s a common case ..but since our family system was a little different we failed to notice it meaning for old generation parents usually take care of these situations..
