Capi, you need to use Control Lock/Shift Lock to be able to move while using your attacks. I suggest you use it all the time. Imo, it makes it so much easier to fight. Also, Sachiel is from Evangelion.

quick tip, Better to stun before using X just to higher the chances also X has a lot of range so maybe do it when ur a lil bit far from someone or if they are stunned

This game require a lot of shift lock activity, that being aiming your moves i suggest using it for a better combat experience Another thing the reason why you cant aim X move during the fire, is because of game balance and overall its called a Special move for a reason Ex: aiming your X move, aiming the dash move on cherno, and aiming your triple punch
