That helicopter engine part was STILL very radioactive today!

man, i'll be honest... this actually upsets me deeply. I've always wanted to see that place. The Zone we love is being ruined!

Yeah, It is being ruined, I thought that place would remain untouched for at least 200 years, but now they are demolishing reactor 4's iconic chimney, the vehicles are disappearing, the red forest containing trees that died 26 years ago but are perfectly preserved due to radiation sterilization have been cut down. I guess I'll never get to see it as it was for the first 20 years... Abandoned and untouched.

Nobody will ever do, cause the last years of mass tourism changed much. And of course as you said the cleaning of the zone. Everything get's dismantled one by one. The houses in the villages collapse, the brick and concrete houses in Pripyat are next. I just can say: Go there as soon as you can. You won't have the chance in another 30 years. Or: You will have, but the zone then is completely dead. Just a very few workers will remain there in the power plant. Everything else is dead: The Villages, the Towns, the few resettlers, the vehicles. Everything will be gone. Sad to say that, but it's the reality.

@@Rubelkoenig also (i know Im commenting year later but what the Hell) I heard that Ukraine is considering the Zone to be final location for their spent nuclear Fuel....would make sense since the whole damn area is going to be deserted for countless decades/centuries anyway....and so much of that contaminated vehicles and other radioactive crap has been buried there over the years anyhow...I would imagine that would however limit Access to tourists even further....not that there would be much to see in few decades anyways....but Ye I still wish to go visit there eventually before that happenes.... unfortunately too late to see the vehicle graveyard/scrapyards anymore I would presume but atleast seeing Pripyat in person would be reason enough alone to visit there.

They need to stop tours here . It’s not a tourist attraction it’s a fucking Tragedy. Since Chernobyl HBO everyone thinks they have to go . Leave it to decay and our fallen ones to rest In peace

I feel like they should only allow it to the specific people who will respect and honour the land and not trespass, or do it for social media. Personally I want to go to lay flowers for everyone affected, and learn more about the area, unfortunately so many vandalise and make it worse for no reaso, so i agree.

ever since HBO u get people trying to say u need an SCBA and a lead lined suit just to go... no one cares about actually learning about the zone or the accident, just that its in some half ass HBO series so therefor is cool.

Not much in the zone is very interesting anymore. The OGs like kidofspeed that roamed it even 20 years ago videoed stuff when it was interesting.

Some things seem out of the ordinary. Like @02:36 seems like a turbine jet engine. But it looks considerably newer then the rest of the scraped vehicle parts? Also @06:02 for example, those don't fit any ground vehicle, helicopter air intakes? And around @09:29 a couple boxed shaped units with two doors. Where would they be used for? The only thing i could think of transport of death bodies? :/ Oh and could you do a vid of the other vehicle graveyard? I remember seeing photos of one with vehicles in tact. It had airplanes, helicopters, trucks, tanks but not scrapped
@som3e8 жыл бұрын
+Osmosis Its helicopter engine wich looks newer because it was made from stainless steel.

for what exactly? The zone, assuming you respect where u are, isnt all that dangerous if u pay attention. Avoid hotspots, pay attention, and you dont need a mask even.
