Really enjoyed this video. I was always told we were part Cherokee, probably not. But I love the History, Language and the people. My Mom once a year would have to tell us kids who won the Civil War and she would tell the Story of the Trail of Tears. I am glad to be a Osiyo TV subscriber. Wish the Nation could adopt me and my family as one of their own.

Awesome, just tied into Bearfoot, tho the Welch seem to be spelling it Barefoot, the only way that I knew it was the same family was the English Strickland name, SMH. Some of the stuff though erks me cause it's like the English tried to write us out of existence.

HI, Unlike other people's the Cherokee, is color blind to melanin, in skin. THE CHEROKEE, can have skin in tones, from from very dark to very light. Many people's joined , and where welcomed by the Cherokee.... run away slaves, political outlaws, people married into the tribe ETC. Skin color doesn't matter a bit,... as the saying goes,.... if you have one drop of Cherokee BLOOD, you are Cherokee. Blessings...!

@@ronshook5194this couldn’t be further from the truth sadly I’m half Blackfoot Cherokee half Scottish European Jewish and I look nothing like any of these people I could pass for black 90 % of American Aborigine were of mid brown to dark brown skin and could pass for negroes most slaves were Indians they were just victims of identity theft by the hands of the government and white Europeans because real Indians look like negroes like I said and not Asian or white this just what we know so when you say complexion does not matter it really does as well as phenotype everyone on the Dawes roll are not real Indians they are white folk or natives who migrated from the Bering straight hired by the government to steal the identity of the true Aborigines the real Cherokees and other Amerindians were being fear mongered for saying they were Indian because of course they looked negroid people in the Dawes roll paid 5 dollars to the commission to be reclassified as an ethnicity they were clearly not while the American Aborigines were being asked to classify as African just to be able to vote all an agenda to get to where we are today with people thinking it’s normal for whites and Hispanics pushing this deceitful false agenda that if you are Indian by paper you are Indian by blood which is simply not the case hence why we have a whole bunch of indigenous people classifying as black because we have had our culture ripped out from underneath of us by immigrants who run the country now and foreigners 🫤
