When my children were growing up, I told them, everyday is a Present 🎁 from God, and to live in the Present Day, and enjoy the beautiful day God has given us. I agree with you Ms Karen. I was always cleaning my house on Saturday because I worked full time. I should have been in the floor playing with my kids. Enjoy you videos and always looking forward to the next video. Be safe in your travels.

Campgrounds, noisy, crowded. Elkmont in the fall, for us. Dinner, yum, love Daisy Sour Cream. Loving all the camping videos. My moments are my husband of 45 yrs, me, our two boys and spending time with our grandchildren. So when we camp, thats OUR MOMENT TIME, just us. 😊

Beautiful campground, lots of folks all sharing their lives together and making memories. Like you stated, Karen, being in the moment. Supper looked wonderful, Yum. I think I could smell the roasted chicken in NC cooking away. How was the sleeping? Big T was blowing zzzzzzs on your lap. God bless and keep you safe on all your travels. We had some wonderful friends that lived in Cherokee during the 1980s. Carl, was a wood carver and I collected his beautiful hand carved pieces. I always asked him if I could see them first before being put up for sale. Some are on display in the Cherokee Museum. When they, Native Americans, came to our town or close by we would head to their pow wows and spend hours watching them dancing and looking at the crafts. Carl and his wife Sharon were always there selling his beautiful carvings. That to me is a photo in time, caught and saved never to be lived again except in ones heart or memory. Moment in time. All my Love, waving from NC

What a great campground, and so big. Sure hope you visited Mingo Falls since you were so close. It is a very pretty falls. Time sure does go fast and we all need to enjoy the moment. The older we get, the more we realize how fast the years roll by. Thanks for the reminder to live in the moment since tomorrow is not promised.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could have our older us wisdom while we're our younger us so we would realize that so many moments only come once and you better not miss them? Even some moments that feel like extreme hardships at the time later turn out to be precious moments or blessings. Not trying to make your video about me but it's a relevant story. My mother got sick with covid about a week after I had knee surgery in December 2021. While i was in a full leg brace and on crutches I spent 3 weeks staying with her in the hospital nearly all day every day. There had been complications after my surgery, I was supposed to have been back at work 3 days later but it turned into 4 weeks after.. Well.. she passed away after 3 weeks in the hospital from heart complications and covid. But what seemed like a hardship at the time was actually a blessing because I was able to spend all that time with her when she needed someone with her and although it was tough at the time it was a blessing God allowed me to have that extra time with her. Its such an honor to be able to be there when your parents are in need and leave this world. God plans things just right. So yes, don't let those little moments go by unappreciated. You only get one chance at it. Long-winded.. sorry 😊

We visited this campground 5 years ago with plans to camp here, but haven’t yet. I do remember the indoor pool, but not the outdoor pool. We also noted this campground is very spacious. I particularly loved the cabins along the river. Which, if we ever get back there, we plan on staying in. Very good location..convenient to many other places within a short drive. Thanks for sharing this adventure. Hugs to Big T.. God Bless

We stay at the Cherokee KOA every year in November . We love to fish the area when crowds are gone and bring some trout home. We love the new pet patio sites. Although we always bring our camper we stayed in a cabin one year but we noticed they don’t do a good job cleaning them.

Mike and Karen, really enjoyed your video! What a beautiful campground! Thought y'all would be on the river. As always I love seeing Big T. Really enjoyed your fireside chat! I still miss my baby Woofy who the vet wouldn't let my mom bring me to get him and they left him alone to die there at the office. He's been gone since March 15,2006. I can't forgive them for what they did. I never got to say goodbye to him. I wish Woofy Jr would let me put him in his stroller so, we can go for walks but, he growls every time I try to pick him up. Y'all are making me hungry! Love y'all and God Bless!

Nice place! And a good dinner. Boiled peanuts are only good if you do them yourself. Otherwise, they are mushy. Yuk! I only like them if still a little firm. Living out of peanut country now, I order green peanuts from Georgia. But now you can order green peanuts online, ready to boil by the bag.
