One of my ALL-TIME favorite Cherrelle offerings! Heard this one was originally headed for Janet Jackson's 'Rhythm Nation 1814' album, but ended up taking a last-minute detour towards Cherrelle's 'Affair' LP instead. Really enjoy her vocals on this one, she was in top form back then... :-)

I just learned Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis originally wrote/produced this song for Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814 album, but some record industry politics got in the way and Cherrelle wound up singing it instead. I always thought this song sounded a lot like "Escapade" just funkier.
