In 2015 I walked the entire length of Meguro river from Tennozu park to Tamagawa road. it was about 7km walk and entirely lined with sakura. One of my best experiences in Japan ever.

If you're in NYC, go to the brooklyn botanic garden, they have an entire field of these trees so sit under. It's amazing. There's also a park in Newark that has a field of cherry blossoms.
