Yes, we Japanese usually use umbrellas when it snows. This is because Japan is high temperature and humidity. Snow which stuck to clothes and hair changes in water immediately.

Do people normally use umbrellas when it snows? I live in Iceland, and people here usually don't use umbrellas ... ever. Because of the wind. So I wouldn't know.
