Dont let people tell you headers don't make power on an OHV 4.0
the peak number may not have gone up but it very obviously made Power by the butt dyno in the rest of the range taking into account with my headers pipe size x pipe and mufflers it's all geared towards Scavenging and tone different Mufflers might be louder or quieter bigger pipe H compared to an X are definitely all contributing factors in keeping velocity
Haven't seen somebody do it before so just put typical hot rod logic to my little daily driver 98 Ranger v6 parts of very limited through these few years, these are currently the only headers available for the 98 to 2000 4X4 4.0 ohv had a few people ask about what my setup is so here you go
all engine except k&n cai and exhaust..
-remflex header gaskets( yes i know they are 97 earlier they fit the port just fine and seal great)
-pacesetter ceramic coated headers no egr 2.5in outlet factory special order
-summit narrow x pipe 2.25in
-summit v band clamps 2.25in
-dual cherry bomb vortex mufflers offset 2.25in
-all new o2 bungs
-2.25 to 3.5 stainless steel rolled edge slash tips
I apologize for the upside down video towards the end didn't have the phone the right way but you're going for the sound anyways and take into account I just dumped a bunch of seafoam and Marvel Mystery Oil into the tank so that's why we're getting some blue out the pipes
