As a child, I was traveling in New England when struck by a stomach flu. At the local hospital I was given the choice between a tonic flavored with cherry or banana; I chose banana. It took 12 years before I was able to bring myself to eat a banana again. A cherry soda would be welcome, but Coke should be Coca-Cola -- preferably the old recipe.

@@thomaszeman8038 Yes, I remember in the 1980s when Coke started selling Cherry Coke, my mom told me about how the drug stores had soda fountains and they would mix different flavors into the coke, including cherry.
