“I think this song sort of speaks for itself. This is one of two songs on the album to employ that early Hot Jazz instrumentation of using tuba instead of string bass. The entire recording of At The Pink Rat is a meditation in part about the history and interconnection between a number of jazz styles. This song also has a little bit of that Spike Jones and His City Slickers comedic feel to it, but of course, as is my instinct, in this number I am un-ironic and deadly serious about what I am actually saying.” - Steve Perry
