Best Hiking in Landmannalaugar! | The Highlands of ICELAND 4K

It's our first full day in Landmannalaugar and the weather was not cooperating with us! That didn't stop us from getting out and hiking Mount Brennisteinsalda! This hike has to be one of the most scenic hikes we've done to date! The views and landscapes were just incredible it felt like we were on another planet! We highly recommend this hike if you are planning on going to Landmannalaugar and we hope this video gives you some better insight about the hike!

Nicely hiked! COLD showers... in Iceland. WOW! When I stayed in Iceland, we had thermal showers at the house we stayed in - super hot but smelt of eggs. I mistakenly assumed everywhere in Iceland would have that. You two are BRAVE.

Thanks! This campsite had hot showers for 500 ISK per person so we had to be fast! That egg smell was around outside because the had hot springs but it was super crammed each day so we passed lol. Did you get to do the whole Ring Road? It was our first campervan experience and we LOVED it!

Landmannalaugar is so beautiful! Kinda of prehistoric too, lol. But the quality and colors of the video is awesome. Those other guys were hard core, and up to 11 days to hike it, wow. Glad you made it back in one piece!

@@CherryandTrevor Yes. You gotta eat. On a walk like that you'll feel exhausted. Especially when its cold you need even more food. Ideally, a break with a hot cup of tea with milk and honey and hot meal. A bowl of oats, sultanas, dried apricots, chopped dates, and figs is what she needed. Power food. Also little snakes of sesame seed bars would be nice along the way. ❤🙂 I hope your both feelin well. Take care.

34 miles. Omg ! (As my ex would say) :) You need trangia stove, hot meal of dried pasta and sauce meal. Maybe make a nice cup of tea, honey and pwdrd milk. 😋 Take some granola bars next time. I partially did the South Cape walk in Tasmania. 4 days in I turned around. Omg it was crazy wet with swollen rivers. Slushy mud tracks. I had knee issues. Not good. At one point I was almost waist deep in muddy water. Cherry needs a nice hot cup of cocoa and bowl of pasta. ☕🍝🙂👍🗻🗻🗻🗻🗻🏕

When you went off track I’m pretty sure you were on the Landmannalaugar trail that goes to Thórsmörk. I highly recommend doing it but it takes a few days. Can I ask where you found that bright blue water on your video? I’ve never noticed it and would love to see it next time. Thanks

Hi Andrew! We're so sorry for the very late reply. we took a break from KZbin. That bright blue water, we chanced upon when we did the Mt. Brennisteinsalda hike. It was at the end of this hike just before that Thorsmork trail you mentioned. We literally just saw a hill and wanted to see what was over it and it was there!
