I mean I get people being neutral or even completely uninterested. But I see the sheer amount of dislike she gets and wonder if it’s completely justified. People say she lucked into Girls Aloud through her looks, that she’s just a talentless dolt who made it big because of Ashley Cole and Simon Cowell…and the most annoying one being that she’s a violent thug who likes beating up people. No Cheryl isn’t perfect, none of us are. She has her flaws, but that’s what makes her more normal somehow. And quite frankly from what I’ve heard, that toilet attendant in 2003 escalated that situation by overstepping her authority and trying to play bouncer. She grabbed Cheryl first and was being physically overbearing, and Cheryl has already said if there’s one thing you do not do to her, it’s start and get physical with her. I personally don’t blame her for defending herself. No she shouldn’t have been drunk to high heaven and no she shouldn’t have been trying to break into a sweet machine. But that toilet attendant way overstepped her authority and Cheryl put her in her place. I feel sorry for her, she’s on record as saying she’s aware there’s a lot of hatred towards her, and it really upset Chez. 😕

I have to laugh at people still bringing up Cheryl’s assault charge from 2003. 20 years ago…and people still mention it. She was a silly, drunk and starry eyed teenager who’d just gone from an absolute nobody to number one in the charts within the space of a few months. And let’s be fair…a drunk young woman being grabbed by an unknown assailant in the woman’s loos, it’s no wonder she took the fight or flight response. I know I would’ve. That toilet attendant Sophie overstepped her authority, she shouldn’t have tried playing Superwoman and instead informed a bouncer or one of the band’s bodyguards that Cheryl was making a fool of herself and let her be escorted out of the premises. She was paid to mop up wee and puke, not take it upon herself to accost clubbers. People are too quick to condemn Cheryl for her supposed propensity for violence, when she says in her book she had a hard upbringing, mainly because of her brother Andrew and his tendency to wind up in debt to drug dealers, and at one point she had a highly abusive boyfriend who literally tried to bite her lip off. She had to learn to defend herself from an early age. People just automatically write her off as a common yob though and it really annoys me. I think enough time and water has passed under the bridge now where she can be forgiven for that indiscretion. She doesn’t deserve the continued hatred.

Hang on they used sector navigation....mechanical, clock dial, stone age stuff. Navigation by the stars came from our Pacific cultures who were eons ahead in so areas and fields already. Maybe following obvious main constellations, to claim he could navigate by stars, rewrites history. Be mindful and wary of false info that comes out, which takes from other cultures. John obviously had seafaring skills. Following the stars in those days for these men were scoffed at, they had the manmade 8millenia behind our pacific navigators. Say the technology that was most present. Instead that he had master skills and could navigate by the stars???? Am I wrong here, I am interested to learn more.

They navigate by the stars, with the help of tools, such as a sextant, which from a quick google search has been in use at least since the early 1700’s. It is not some sort of lie to refer to someone as a Master Mariner, just because they are using different navigational methods and techniques than another culture. They are saying within the context of his culture and his skillset, among his peers, he is a Master at his craft.

When somebody is drunk he or she "puts" personallity on sleep and than our ancestors are on the stage ! Because of that we must fight for ourselves to be sober every day to stay in our own personallity and to leave "ghosts from the past locked" . We don't know really them and what was their life . Society is putting pressure on all but celebrities are more vulnerable than others ! People drink because of anxiety, to forget something or somebody ( I am Anonymous and i don't drink 😀. We are fighters. ) ... But we know that the name of the ship was " La belle " and that truth is maybe enough for us to resist temptations .😀😃😄 And surely person or persons near us who are ready always to help us in this fight and than " La belle vie " is not so far away from us.
