It was said somewhere that after Farrah Fawcett left the series the other co stars liked Cheryl Ladd but didn't fully embrace her because they liked Farrah more. Somewhat of a bummer!

Cheryl and Jaclyn became and still are good friends. Kate Jackson hated her from day 1 and made things rough for her. She didn't want to be in the same room with her.

@@hoagie1978 Kate always had a difficult character. She was the leader of the group. Farrah and Jaclyn were meek, while Cheryl always had a stronger personality. As my public service for the day I have officially documented how many hair flips Ladd executes in this physically exhausting video (the enervation of which no doubt resulted in those ultra-dramatic moves of hers in the final five seconds). By my calculation she completes 24 "standard" hair shakes and 26 full-on, "whiplash worthy" hair flings. It was a very balanced performance in that respect. It's quite remarkable that she was able to fit in a total of 50 "hair moves" in just three minutes and thirty two seconds. That's an average of one every 4.24 seconds. I wonder if a professional hair choreographer was brought in, given that it's an awful lot of follicular choreography to pack into a short time frame. If so, that individual must have been thrilled, since Ladd indisputably possesses one of the greatest manes in show biz history (up there with Veronica Lake, Cher and Julia Roberts). The song made a decent dent on the pop charts, climbing as high as #34; that's higher than any other TV starlet from the 70s was able to achieve when they attempted to cross over into music. I like it enough that I would be willing to check out the rest of the album.
@saltwatercb6 жыл бұрын
I need to add an addendum; Vicki Lawrence went all the way to #1 with "The Nights the Lights Went Out in Georgia," but I don't necessarily think of her as a starlet (i.e., like Ladd, Lynda Carter, et al., who were making music during this period).
