It was said somewhere that after Farrah Fawcett left the series the other co stars liked Cheryl Ladd but didn't fully embrace her because they liked Farrah more. Somewhat of a bummer!

Cheryl and Jaclyn became and still are good friends. Kate Jackson hated her from day 1 and made things rough for her. There is a 1977 interview with all 3 on The Mike Douglas show where he visits the set of CA. Kate leaves after her interview segment before Cheryl comes on. She didn't want to be in the same room with her.

The song was co-written by Brenda and Brian Russell, who are singing in the chorus. Cheryl Ladd was so emotive in her actions and vocals because she was declaring herself to Brian in front of Brenda and the world. Brian divorced Brenda Russell, then married Cheryl; they are still together.

Cheryl sings it almost like Brenda, but Brenda so much better. Seems like she wanted what Brenda had. She got the husband, but not the vocal talent or musical genius of Brenda. Yes I have been watching Charlie's Angels on GetTV Weeknights 8-10PM as of this date 2/18/21.....I am an original viewer & though have the individual dvd sets, i seldom watch my massive classic TV on DVD collection, but glad I have it. As a healthy male teen during the 70's yes my dreams were full of angels! I still have all 4 sealed mego dolls and so much memorabilia. I enjoyed this video as Miss Ladd believe she is wearing the same? satin jacket that appeared on the Think It Over album & 45 picture sleeve, which naturally I still have in mint condition as well as the follow-up album and picture sleeve single if i remember titled "Miss You"? Both albums and 45 picture sleeves had identical pictures issued by capitol records. I am still in search of a original US pressing of the cartoon 70's "Josie & The Pussycats" album with our Cheryl Stopplemore in cat like black leotard on the cover. AAh childhood!

Look folks , I mean Cheryl Ladd was Playboy Bunny delixious in the 70s . She could sing pretty well channelling Olivia Newton John's singing style and moves on this song somewhat . But I can't say she had a signature kind of sound in her singing , or wrote any music herself that seperated her from other female singers in the 70s . That's probably why she never went anywhere as a Singer . 😬😵😢😭💔🤔🙄🙈🙉🙊💫🌟✨💥🔥

As my public service for the day I have officially documented how many hair flips Ladd executes in this physically exhausting video (the enervation of which no doubt resulted in those ultra-dramatic moves of hers in the final five seconds). By my calculation she completes 24 "standard" hair shakes and 26 full-on, "whiplash worthy" hair flings. It was a very balanced performance in that respect. It's quite remarkable that she was able to fit in a total of 50 "hair moves" in just three minutes and thirty two seconds. That's an average of one every 4.24 seconds. I wonder if a professional hair choreographer was brought in, given that it's an awful lot of follicular choreography to pack into a short time frame. If so, that individual must have been thrilled, since Ladd indisputably possesses one of the greatest manes in show biz history (up there with Veronica Lake, Cher and Julia Roberts). The song made a decent dent on the pop charts, climbing as high as #34; that's higher than any other TV starlet from the 70s was able to achieve when they attempted to cross over into music. I like it enough that I would be willing to check out the rest of the album.
@saltwatercb
@saltwatercb 6 жыл бұрын
I need to add an addendum; Vicki Lawrence went all the way to #1 with "The Nights the Lights Went Out in Georgia," but I don't necessarily think of her as a starlet (i.e., like Ladd, Lynda Carter, et al., who were making music during this period).
