This is another reason why I don't own a tv or don't watch tv programs anymore. All the fun and good quality is long gone... 1970s, 1960s, that was gold. Look how actors and actresses got together in a friendly sporting match without lawsuits or money grabs. Just pure fun!

It was! Didn’t have all this social bullshit going on. People were done with that from the sixties and just wanted to have some fun. Unfortunately the whiners came back.
@DaveE71713 жыл бұрын
In so many ways it was. Words like virtual or remote were not part of culture. You had to get out of your house to have fun. Oh, and the music was extremely diverse and awesome. After the 80's, that basically ended. Although I loved country music in the 90's before it became pop elevator music like today.

Ditto... truly a beautiful woman. Let's put it this way: when the folks in Hollywood wanted to do a film about Grace Kelly's life - Kelly being one of the most beautiful women ever to light up the silver screen - they choose Cheryl Ladd for the part. Not only amazingly beautiful, but a fine woman, smart and classy. I hear she plays a mean round of golf, too...

Man that ABC team kilt it on the track. Penny Marshall did well for the lead of it's hard running first leg...but Cheryl Ladd closed the gap and Kristy helped seal the fate of the others cuz once she handed off to Kaplan it was over. The powerhouses of Stevenson, Chrystal and DeRose were AWESOME!!! Re; Angels...I always identified with Kelly, she was beautiful, posh...and very street smart.

During this time, "Saturday Night Live" did an hilarious send-up commerical on "Network Battle of The Stars" and renamed it ..... "Network Battle of the T's & A's!"....... Complete with a voiceover that stated - "With the biggest T's and the nicest A's!"..... The ad was filled with gratuitous camera close-ups of women in tight fitting t-shirts and shorts jumping up and down and jiggling about!! Still makes me chuckle :)
