My Mom raised me on this song! It was played LOUD to wake her up at 5am to make that early bus stop dragging me in tow! Oh how I hated that damn 6:15 am bus to an arts school 45 minutes away every M-F LOL. But Momma got me through it with Cheryl Lynn and her crazy early morning dance moves! She is 63 now. AND today I visited her. What was she playing LAF - Cheryl Lynn of course! ❤ I am so blessed!

I grew up on this song listening to it with my granny and mother while they basically did everything to music. It takes me back to the place where I was happy didn't have no worries.. my mother is a phenomenal singer and her voice is like therapy to your ears and this song was one of her favorite songs that she song so that's what brought me here today 🕊️🕊️🦋🦋☺️☺️.. Cherish your mother while she still is here because tomorrow's not promised and death is inevitable.. Luckily we have music which we can use it as a tool to keep us sane, a keepsake in our minds as a memory and to bring others joy and happiness.. Rest easy with granny my old lady 🕊️🦋☺️.. Sorry you guys didn't mean to start rambling are not trying to be a Deb Downer but I just lost my mom to cancer 26 of January this year and my granny passed 3 months before that in October 7th from covid and this was one of their favorite song, I'm a triplet I can't really Express to my brothers my feelings because I don't want to trigger them into a nervous breakdown because even though I'm the youngest I'm the strongest and I really don't have an outlet or no one to talk to. My mother always told me it's better to talk to strangers because I just can't judge you because they don't have a pre perception of you so they're paying will be a genuine honest opinion and not bias so thanks you guys we're just letting me get this out. This is a beautiful song a very beautiful song ❤️❤️❤️ Miss music like this music that actually heals the soul 💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️😌😌

Happy 62nd birthday to Cheryl Lynn, born this day in 1957, this massive club anthem from her debut 1978 album Cheryl Lynn, on Columbia records, with such an infectious groove its one of those songs that when that intro rings out, the dancefloor gets moving, a Caister Soul Weekender classic

Take me back to December 1978 when I was 10 years old and this was playing on Christmas Day when the family gathered at the house and someone made a mix tape(yep someone did make a mix tape back then) and this had the house jumping working out those pounds after dinner we had. Then after this joint, Chic-"Le Freak" pop up and then cousin had the nerve to put on the new Jacksons' song that just came out "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground". My cousin told my other cousin he bought the "Destiny" album a couple of days ago & he said this is a hit. O.K. I'm rambling here going back to memory lane but yeah hearing this song brings me back to an awesome time.
