The 2nd daughter played the clarinet. This is the song their band played on the football field. That band showed all the way out on this song. Their band director a music major. He was as the the drum major when he and I were in high school. He put the black soul music in the band.!!! The people danced in in the bleachers .!!! Now this song is the original sample sound for the 1990 new jack swing song "I'll Do 4 U" by Father MC with Mary J. Blige singin' the background chorus in it, and it's unimaginative that this song makes that song a dope throwback jam to groove to, my mom even loved it when she was beginning her freshman year of high school. Take me back to December 1978 when I was 10 years old and this was playing on Christmas Day when the family gathered at the house and someone made a mix tape(yep someone did make a mix tape back then) and this had the house jumping working out those pounds after dinner we had. Then after this joint, Chic-"Le Freak" pop up and then cousin had the nerve to put on the new Jacksons' song that just came out "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground". My cousin told my other cousin he bought the "Destiny" album a couple of days ago & he said this is a hit. O.K. I'm rambling here going back to memory lane but yeah hearing this song brings me back to an awesome time.
