I love it. So scenic. I’m stationed in NC and every time I get time off to visit family in Ny I always cross it. No music, windows down and just sounds of the ocean.

Loved this the 2 years my friend lived in Va. Beach.

I wrote a poem about this bridge when I was 12.

I hope they eventually bring back the restraunt, and gift shop when they finish.

Yes! Me too! I was going to mention them in the video in depth, but wasn't sure if they were coming back! Hoping they do!

This was an informative video. My sister lives in Fredericksburg Virginia and I have not had to drive the Chesapeake bay Bridge. I try telling people that it's not a necessary drive to the Bridge it depends on what part of Virginia you are going to. Most nj or tri state area people who have not been to Virginia thinks that it's a necessary drive to everywhere in VA 🤦🏾♀️

Yes! Exactly - and thank you for your kind words! I like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge but don't see a need to drive down it all the time since it's so expensive with tolls.

Will be going from northeast NC to Ocean City, MD, in a couple weeks. Without the bridge, it's supposed to be an 8.5 hour drive. With it, it's 3.5 hours. Crazy!

Except on the eastern shore for some reason there is a traffic light about every mile!

All of which were put up in the last 15 years. One used to be able to zip up the ES in rustical solitude. No more.

Hey! Like your channel. I was curious what you though of that neighborhood between Woodbine and Pleasant Point in Norfolk? It's sort of on a peninsula that goes into the Elizabeth River. Thanks

That’s River Forrest Shores! Love the neighborhood for the price. Have several clients who live in there. Keep in mind that the city had approved a multi-income complex near Sellger and Curlew Dr. Some residents aren’t happy about the possibility, though just keep that in mind because for the price and location it’s fantastic. Near the water you’ll have some lots that require flood insurance, too. I’m know I’m giving some drawbacks but there’s a lot of value to be had in that area for what you get.
