The Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Maryland reaches nearly 200 feet in certain parts and measures 4.3-miles long from end to end - and for some motorists, getting behind the wheel and driving across the bridge is simply out of the question. ietv.co/1gQtZHw #InsideEdition

I used to run team. My co driver was so afraid of that bridge, he went back into the sleeper until I told him we were off of it. I thought the view was awesome, he got physically ill just from looking at the pictures I took. We did not last long together.

As someone who's family goes over this bridge almost everyday, it's interesting to hear what other people have to say on it. I for one find it peaceful to cross, although it's quite common for heavy traffic to take place and to be stuck on the bridge for 20 minutes at a time, which gives you enough time to look out on the water at the nearby ships.

Was stationed at Pax River and have driven across this bridge can't even remember how many times. It is challenging in bad weather or high winds, but not bad in normal conditions. Got stuck on the bridge one day due to an accident and it turned into a block party with people getting out of their cars. Have also flown over this bridge a few times but never have been under it in a boat. Never thought there is a market for driving people over it, but apparently there is. What a great idea this guy had. FLY NAVY!!!

This guy has the capability of making that much in one year simply driving others across a bridge and that bridge is not going anywhere to hurt his business. The first time I remember crossing the old span was in 1955 when I was 5 years old going to Ocean City. I recall getting pretty queasy when we hit the highest part, looking out over the Bay. Didn't barf, but I did feel dizzy. The good old days.

Wow I have anxiety attacks on bridges. That’s crazy looking at this today giving the circumstances

It's not the bridge itself , or the length, or the height, or any of that, that scares people. It's the possibility of some idiot hitting you on the bridge that scares people.

+kevg715 thank you. I drive over it every now and then and that is my only fear. It's literally nothing else then someone has the power to kill you at any second.

I think the fact that almost everyone knows about the truck falling off also freaks everyone out. It could easily take other vehicles w it.

Damn. I cross this bridge about 50 times per year. I knew it freaked people out, but I had no idea how much people fear crossing.

That old bridge you showed was the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and it did collapse back then It has since been rebuilt with a newer one alongside. Alot of people don't want to cross over the Astoria Bridge in Oregon either. It's been in several movies and if you haven't seen it, it's pretty tall.

I done drove that bridge once. I live in New Kent. The scary part is paying the toll, but it was pretty cool.
