Two of the best on their instruments. It really doesn't get any better than this. TWO GIANTS. If I played trombone, I would be looking into that job opening at Macy's in the men's department. Phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

in January Arturo Sandoval came to play at my local theater in Glendale CA, and just 2 days ago Bob McChesney played at Riverside Community College for a jazz festival. I am soooooo honored to have met both of them this year :D

Bob McChesney is the otherworldly Tbone master. If it weren't for You-tube, I might never have heard of Bob,& thought Frank Rosolino, Steve Turre, J.J. Johnson, & Carl Fontana were the true and only kings of the Tbone. I'm going to Bob's website and ordering his Jazz Etudes and Duets, provided he accepts Paypal. I need a real challenge to light the flame again in my playing on Tbone.

First of all, WOW! Secondly, There comes a time when a musician is at the top of the game. "Trombonewise", Bill Watrous, Carl Fontana, and Phil Wilson- some of my favorites. Frank Rosolino and a few others. Bob McChesney not only has it all, he is willing to teach. "Trumpetwise", there was Maynard Ferguson, Clifford Brown, Miles Davis, and other superstars I enjoyed. My new favorites are Bob McChesney and Arturo Sandoval. I met Bob in Las Vegas YEARS ago and heard Arturo in Florida. WOW!

I must preform a jazz piece with only a trumpet for my entire high school in a talent show and this is the only thing I can find. May I use this?

I do play trombone and I agree, yet that's just one way of looking at it. Indeed that's a very funny to look at it! Let me toss out my horn right now. Oh, there's the garbage can. :) But, I started playing jazz for pay at age 12 in 1970 and, no, I can't match Bob's "voice," but we should still have a voice, which might be more soulful or sweet or dark or who knows. I'm sure they'd agree. What we do see here is a workout exercise that dazzles, played by two of the finer players on planet earth.

anyone kno the type of finish on Arturo's horn? any benefits to that finish as far as sound quality

It strikes me that the trombonist plays a small bell trombone and has no counterweight.
