When I was 8-9 years old, I learned chess as a beginner, I only knew how to move pieces and how to mate the king. Later that year I played with one of my cousin who were 4-5 years older than me. In the end game I had a rook and he had nothing. When I was going to checkmate him, he started to move his king 2 squares and lied me that king can do it when its alone and I realized that I cant checkmate him after trying it for 30 minutes. What Levy does really well - and why I personally believe he's so big - is that he's a master storyteller Anyone can name chess moves. Any elite chess player can break down chess games (and there are tons of channels that do this). But it takes an elite storyteller to take chess games and make it into a storyline that engages even the casual viewer. It's why he's also a great play-by-play / color commentator in chess tournaments. Storytelling is king, no matter what sport or medium - and Levy is the best in the business

I got actually pretty decent results with playing chess with ChatGPT by giving it FEN notations and going like "It is black's turn to move. Can you make a good move and give back a FEN of the updated position?" I also reset the chat after one or two exchanges, to limit the context window size. It sometimes made more than 1 move at a go, but it actually pretty often did make a good, legal move. I also asked questions like "In how many ways can white capture a piece in this position?" and it might miss a few, but often gave correct answers.
@AryanMahajan-w8v14 күн бұрын
it is more chaotic without that but if you want better results you just ask again and again until it gives a legal move with board updates

@anjatellem4619 Yeah, I use it on the mobile website. I dont think its perfect but it's definitely good, and only going to improve if everything planned gets implemented. Since its a subscription, you get multiple courses. For white, maybe the e4 course and expanded with some of the smaller courses throughout, or the london for something more comfortable and less theory heavy. For black, can't go wrong with Caro-Kann and his OGD that covers everything else. Maybe later potentially the e6/b6 course it's fun. I recommend going throughout periodically, I retain things if I do it stuff in small bursts. Go through it normally, and maybe after games review the course. Additionally do all the variation drills, and the quizzes. I think they're underrated to learning. Hopefully that mouthful helps!

I mean, you refused to put his pawn in g6... I honestly understand him ❌️

9:42 Why not bishop h2 from stock fish?? It checks the king and you can take queen with your rook

Yeah i thought the same

Ye, i also thought that was the best move but maybe sacrificing 8 points of material for nine is not as good as cleanly winning the knight

17:10 wait did you tell it that it couldn't do a move? Sorry I thought the AI knew best?
@ripe_aces14 күн бұрын
I agree, you should have just put a pawn on G6. Snapchat may have been robbed of a sweet victory in game 1 against the favorite.

You could put chatfish in the next tournament

Hi Levy, I believe Claude and Llama should be here instead of Martin and Stockfish, as they are technically not chatbots. We could have the Chatbot championship happen on its own and the winner faces stockfish and the loser faces Martin or something like that. This could be an interesting concept, as it can show us how chatbots like ChatGPT, Meta, etc bend the rules against rule based AI like Stockfish and Martin. This is my opinion, please do consider this for the future championship.

Levy , just so you know, the evaluation shown after a move is based on the fact that the next move is for the same person who played the previous move in this board settings.

I followed all the world chess championships this year and this is the best one truly

REMEMBER: With Chat gpt use the prime, you need to use chat gpt O1 and instead of using the command like "queen G3" try to do prints of the board and say "what is your next move" Is better like that because is long memory of the board is not really good. He can forget here the pieces are. Hope this is helpful and you see this comment Keep up the great work ❤ PEOPLE LIKE THIS COMMENT TO APPEAR UP PLSSSS !!!!

The fun in these are the fact that chatGPT makes its own rules

I agree! These aren’t just chatbots. AI is going multimodal (which improves abstract reasoning), so that’s precisely what you should do if you want to have the best out if it.

This is amazing, Levy, thank you so, so much, Snapchat's play was inspired, the way Stockfish's Rc1 activated it's Trap Card was stuff of legend.
