It's actually quite a common position. Agorophobic chess players tend to naturally surround their kings with castles to provide a feeling of comfort and safety. This player however had made the rookie mistake of leaving a window open in his endgame fortress.

Mine is just based on luck but here's my answer, knight capture pawn at d5, assuming black captures white knight with his knight (based on luck but it has 60-80% chance that he/she is going to capture it because of the 3 possible captures if he/she left it alone including her knight) then white's queen to e8 check which leads his king to checkmate ( because of bishop).

The chess puzzle : Nxd5 forks he queen and knight. 1. If he moves away his queen then we play Nxf6 and he recaptures with his bishop. Then we can play Qb7# 2. If he recaptures on Nxd5 then again we can simply play Qb7# 3. If he plays any other move like for example Kg8 avoiding the mate, you sinply capture the queen with your Knight and have a winning advantage

Another checkmate variation: Nxd5 Nxd5 (black) is forced as he will lose his bishop or queen or knight resulting in checkmate if he doesn't take. Then Qh7# is a beautiful check mate.

There is a second method to checkmate the king in the second puzzle. Knight to d4. If the opponent doesn't take the knight with his knight and moves his queen to other square like to b5, threatening checkmate in the other move(me inside: If he does this move, then he is gone!! Let me show you how :) ) Queen to h7, king forced to take the queen(probably he will take with his knight) then knight to g6 check, black king to g8 and Bishop e6 is a beautiful checkmate!!!

With knight to h5 White gets mated: black queen checks at E1. King has to move G2 -> bishop F1. If king goes back to row 1 bishop goes H3 mate, the only other option is king to F3, queen checks on E2, king is forced on F4 where black bishop mates with D6. True answer is white sacrifices queen at h7, knight is forced to take, check with knight, king has to move to g8, than white mates with bishop E6

Well Zohaib, you are correct that white needs to beware of getting checkmated. Many others missed this key point. Now in reality, if white plays correctly, he has mate in 3. If not, black has a possible mate in 4. You will improve with practice.

Easiest way to ensure a checkmate would be to move our Knight to h5 putting pressure on his Knight if he takes our Knight we move our queen to h7 to checkmate if he tries to move his king to g8 we move our queen to g7 taking his pawn and while being guarded by our Knight check mate

Alternative move (for those who wouldn't sacrifice their queen at any cost)- 1. Ne6 2. Qg7# Black's Queen may play Qe1+, then eventually take the knight on e6 but it loses its queen in the next move. It's not the best tactic, I agree, but amateur chess players (like myself) may fall for it.

I think in this puzzle I'll first move knight to d5, black knight has to take the white knight because we are threatening to kill the queen then queen to h7 and that's a beautiful checkmate
Wow I solved a puzzle on my own which had more than mate in 4 nice this was really fun and easy to solve

Puzzle solution: Nxd5 Qb5 Nxf6 if black takes with the g pawn Qh7# if black takes with the bishop Qh7# is also a mate

At first the F4 knight will capture the D5 pawn then the black knight in F6 square will capture my D5 knight and then the G6 queen will move to E8 and its finally a beautiful check mate.
