Thumbs up on the longer time control. You're taking the time to calculate lines, spotting the landmines and converting. Great way to recover from the string of losing games.

Not losing because you're rushing is a big plus. It was very insightful to see how your mind operated when you had time to think. There were several points where I got pretty confused. Like why not just take the dark squared bishop with your bishop? If he took back with his queen, then he wouldn't be defending the pawn, and your rook could just take it. Your queen was still hanging out with your king to prevent the potential harassment from his queen. I also wondered why not just move your king off the diagonal his queen was on? It felt like he got away with parking his rook where a pawn could take it if it wasn't pinned? I am still learning, so forgive me if these are basic. This game mode is the one I play, so I think it's great to see how someone really good uses the extra time. Oh, and Hell Yeah!

The moves you suggest are good moves. I’m trying to challenge myself to play the most accurate moves which sometimes require deeper calculation to achieve a better position faster, that’s all. I want to find the best best moves so that way the more I do it hopefully it’ll become more intuitive for me to find them

I like the 10 min games but always good to mix it up with longer time controls. Especially if you get frustrated blundering games away under time pressure. Also good to hear more calculation rather than just playing moves because time pressure.

Great game I liked the time control, felt like proper full calculation and better strategy. You were able to make plans instead of more intuition and calculation being limited by time. When you have enough time to play and in the mood for chess then a 15+10 game feels good.

I think both John Bartholomew and Levy Rozman regularly recommend the longer time controls (min 15 + 10) for anyone looking to improve their chess. And it was noticeable that in this game there were a number of potential one-move blunders that you might well have fallen for, had it not been that the longer thinking time gave you a chance to see, and avoid, them. I suspect that the faster time controls you normally use could have resulted in a less favourable outcome. So, in terms of chess improvement, the 15 + 10 gets my vote but not everyone will feel the same - and the impact of viewership is something that you also undoubtedly need to keep in mind. But, for now, congrats on a well-played game and another lift for the rating.

One move I don't think you looked back at is when he went Rg5 going for the trick you disregarded Qa8+ but when the king moves up pawn takes bishop is check which is killer. Then the move after someone already said this but I really didn't understand why you didn't go bishop takes bishop. It's check and if the queen takes back leaving the defense of the c-pawn it's mate in 3 and winning the c-pawn had been one of your main plans or queen doesn't take back you still had Rxg7 anyway. Both that and the move before it seemed as if you were ignoring that the moves came with check. You saw Rxg7 Bxb2 Rg8+ so the queen wasn't overworked which was nice calculation but I think there's a tendency to play something fancy when you see that it "works" and forgetting about whether it is actually the best move. Now the evaluation was the same because of two different complex mate sequences with sacrifices but neither was what your were calculating so not really relevant. Based on what you looked at Bxa3+ made a lot more sense practically.

Yeah Qa8 was the best move with the best follow up to just inch the queen closer. Interesting thing but yeah I for sure missed that one

Great game, thought process was night and day compared to blitzing out moves in 10min games. It will be tempting to go back to 10min and the easy wins (more opponent blunders, time trouble, game abandonments, etc) but would be great to give it at least a week of 15+10 and see how you’re playing then (regardless of elo change).
