I spend about 15 minutes solving checkmate in 2 puzzles, and I share my train of thought throughout. Feel free to play along by quickly pausing the video each time I say "White/Black to move".

Tip: instead of going to mate in 3, then 4, go to harder levels, currently this one was just normal strength.

Mate in 2 is good. A plate of loaded nachos would go well with this

Hi Jerry. Nice workout. The puzzles were a little easy this time. I think mates in 3 will be more exciting. Nice hearing your detailed thought process!

Dear Jerry! Watching you solving puzzles is clearly one of the best things in my life apart from my family. Thank you so much for producing the videos. I am very much looking forward to watching this one.

Thanks Jerry, I got them all except one. Are there mate in 3s?

Thanks Jerry. Why is it easier to be rated higher on puzzles than playing? Enjoy all your videos. Especially the rapid chess ones as a sleep aid.

the instructions may help me become more aware of the possibilities of how to checkmate the king. thank you brother. 😎

I'm sure it's because you were narrating while solving, but I came up with the solutions before you did on almost every puzzle, which REALLY surprised me! Thanks, Jerry.

@6:19 wouldn't Qf4+ have been a second option?

18 out of 20. Not bad I suppose, of course the easiest ones were the ones I messed up lol. Thanks Jerry

I solved them all! 🙂 I think I prefer the trickier puzzle videos though, so I can listen to your thoughts on ones I couldn't figure out.

I think the puzzles could get harder if you turned on the rated button. While solving mate puzzles, I tend to think more about the squares around the enemy king (or his moves you could say), then I'll calculate the checks. What do you think about this train of thought?

I really like mate in 2's because you can be systematic but you already get a bit of branching, in the possibilities.

Some of these would be pretty hard to find if it weren't for the fact that we know we have to look for a mate in two

Hi Jerry, have you got any plans to do another classical arena video?

I haven’t played classical in ages. Not sure I ever played a classical arena. I’ll still do Rapid.

For the puzzle that begins at 11:32, after Rg8+ Ke7, Nd5 is also mate :)

I found that one too, didn't even consider the one Jerry found. Took some calculating to see Nd5 is also mate

It was more instructive to follow your thought process through the random puzzles, at least for me
