This is very funny, but FYI - chess came from Shatranj which came from Chaturang. In ancient India, armies had four components (Chaturangabal) - infantry (pawns), cavalry (horses), elephantry (elephants) and camels I guess. Archaeological evidence goes way back to Indus Valley Civilization. When it went to Greeks and Romans, it became bishops and knights, that's where we get the shapes.

This joke was possible because of not knowing History. The pieces once looked like they are named. And the caps over every piece are not head designs now but caps they would wear. King, Queen, Bishop, soldiers wear different caps. The movements were once different too (Chaturanga). It just retains some of previous features it had.

The original Chaturanga or Chadaranga (later shortened as Chess) - the four (Chatur) divisions (Dala) of ancient military - has Padati Dal / Kalbala (Infantry), Turaga / Aswa Dal (Horses) , Gaja Dal (Elephants), Radha / Radhika (Chariots). These existed only in ancient Bharat Varsh and then to suitable areas of Bharat Khand (the then classification of continents - includes many countries from the southern parts of middle east, eastern part of Africa , many eastern European countries, Asia) and later spread to the other regions. Now, the four divisions are way different - Army, Air force, Navy, and Technology guided remote launching weaponry. May be Chess can be redesigned with these symbols 😎
