Hi all I know Treybal was made to look timid in this game - but he has had very good wins and games, and beat Alekhine even in one of the famous Karlsbad tournaments. i have put a Wiki link to Treybal in the description. I may do the next video covering his win against Alekhine.

Judit Polgar vs Etienne Bacrot 1999 is a nice game that also has a big V pawn formation. Also very nice video as usual!

At the 10:05 , after white Ra1, what if black moves Qa8 and tries to change all rooks and queen? It seems black gains some time before the white attack. What do you think?

Excellent video. I enjoyed watching it. For your or anybody's curiosity, last name Alekhine is not pronounced as "ah-leh-keene", in Russian it has always been pronounced as ah-LYO-hin with accent on YO. YO is not a sound that's present in English alphabet so the closest approximation is word LOW with O sounding somewhat in feminine London accent saying "Hullo"

It actually seems as though the position is pre-arranged! Not that i'm suggesting it was, just that this is the heigh of bizarreness, for a master's game.

10.30 - that's mental. I've never seen anything like that on a chessboard.

Capablanca was one of the most naturally talented players ever, in this game he constructs an amusing victory V and pounces on the weaknesses of blacks squeezed position

Kingcrusher: If black had positioned his pieces better with the bishop on e8 and the rook on d7 or e7 (the the knight still on d8), which he had plenty of time to do, I don't see how white could have attacked at all without sacrificing multiple pieces. Am I missing something in saying that? Just saying it seems odd that he allowed his bishop to be unguarded and didn't fully defend his b pawn.

I was once on the losing end of a "Pawn Triangle of doom" I had to tip my King because my opponent couldn't stop laughing at the aesthetic hilarity.
