This brings me to the last point. Here in US, spelling bees are dominated and won by mostly south Indian kids of AP, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka parents. Same could happen in world chess Olympiads etc. the way India is producing GMs in schools of kids 8 yrs old. This is fantastic for Bharat.

That's why South is a different country than North. Here in North India students are just taught to memorize the questions that will probably come in the impending paper and then somehow pass. No extra-curriculum, no extraordinary teaching, no facilities and 100000 subjects. North Indian education system is completely destroyed. Overburdening students for nothing.
@Cupcake0228Ай бұрын
What nonsense you are talking about like anything and you guys bring north south bs i went school in Maharashtra and I am marathi too we literally had every single extra circular activity you name it and i am from 3 rd tier city its about culture like how haryana has wrestler Maharashtra has shooters same way tamil nadu has chess culture north east has boxers so stop this nonsense and whatabouttery and this is clearly a private school go to any private school you are gonna get same facilities and plz grow up 😒
@Hidden-f7pАй бұрын
@@Cupcake0228 Wrestling is not taught in schools in Haryani and Maharashtra also is in the southern half. What I want to say that is even private schools here in North are extremely incompetent. Not only do they have cheap quality education and zero extra - curriculars, they also burden students with excessive syllabi. I am in North so I am criticizing it coz I witness what happens here. People here are more into religious bullying and wars rather than education. A school is not a school if it calls its Muslim students as Mulla. In some parts of Haryana even now the lower castes are not allowed schooling. I have some friends in Andhra and Tamil Nadu and I know their schooling system.
@sgrr7498Ай бұрын
Bro it is the same everywhere in India. Credit to his parents and school who supported him not to attend school but concentrate in chess and write only the exams in school. Polgar did it to his 3 kids and judit polgar is the greatest woman GM and one of the great in open section . It also needs the clarity from kids to dedicate to the sport. All the cricketers are doing it gor last 40 years. My school cricket team in 90s never attended school .
@Hidden-f7pАй бұрын
@@sgrr7498 There's nothing like attending and not attending school. Gukesh goes to Elite level when he is 18 years old and by that time schooling is completed. Of course you should have education. But support is equally important. Schools here don't have the enthu of doing anything else. My problem is they don't even teach properly. So why are schools built?? Why should someone go to school?? I passed out from 12th in 2023 and literally I can say that I am better than the school teachers. I have some of my friends in south, they say the students who want to prepare for competitive exams have a separate atmosphere created for them, I have always liked their system more. I mean you can see that I can write English, that is, I know English. So why should an English paper be made compulsory for those who don't want to study it? You should be given freedom to choose subjects like they do in the west
