In a world where everyone rushes to publish recaps quickly, I wait for the last one, which also happens to be the best💛. keep them coming Jerry.

I follow almost every chess channel amongst the most popular ones. Analysis / lessons by Jerry are always the best, the clearest, the most instructive.
@PierLu_77Күн бұрын
Also, Jerry's format is one of the few left with a board-only approach (no face), and I think this choice is highly beneficial to the quality of the content (distraction-free, less ego involved)

i was surprised by the unambitious opening with white- and Ding's tame acceptance of the draw instead of grinding for a win with a better position

@jonnyadams1538Күн бұрын
I mean Carlsen has fought drawish positions into wins more than any other chess player, so I don’t think this is the best comparison

For Guky to defend what appeared to look like a lost position, & end drawing it, he has to respected in some sort of form! The next win, clearly, will point towards the winner of this world chess championship!
@fatihorhan93552 күн бұрын
These two are playing almost perfectly, but people don't respect them as much due to Carlsen's decision...
@dean7912 күн бұрын
That’s just because Carlsen would win against either player, so this fees like a battle for 2nd place.

@@fatihorhan9355Does not matter as earning WC title & a boatload of $$$$ secures the winner’s place in history & future.

I don't disagree that Carlsen would be the favorite if he decides playing again.

Hey Jerry. What if at 6:25 pawn to g4 giving back a pawn but saving the ls bishop?
@nyern2 күн бұрын
Feels like black will have way too much space after fixing kingside structure, good pawn breaks on queenside bishop pair watching kingside and white will not be able to hold it together everywhere
@irfanyamashita71842 күн бұрын
Its still losing, black g4 and d5 restrict d2 knight and f2 & h2 pawn become target

Greetings Jerry. I really appreciate your effort of making these insighful analyses. Your ability to succintly and thoroughly deliniate on variations are unmatched in my opinion. I wish more teachers possessed your level of clarity in their dissemination. I have watched many of your videos. Some repeatedly. I have always wondered about what kind of physiognomy is behind your soothing voice. I’m curious, have you done a face reveal at any time on any of your platforms? I’ve looked but couldn’t find anything.

Good game. Gukesh is probing Ding’s French in the quiet non forcing variations were theory is not as fully developed. Formerly Ding defended IQP positions yet here Ding played c4 to avoid an IQP. Very practical choice by Ding!

In the alternate line @16:53 , if white plays Ke2, isn't Bf3 better than the rook pin? Sacking the bishop in exchange for a queen seems better in the endgame than trading a pawn for a rook.
