I absolutely love your videos. Again, just a gentle reminder. Please be sure to discuss using the algebraic notation when you're discussing a theoretical line, or you're looking at possible moves. As a blind person, it allows me to be able to really follow everything. At a little after 10:00, for example, you're looking at possibilities, and you're saying, "if I go here." That doesn't tell me anything. There are moves being made, pieces being taken, and nothing is being said, so I have no way to know what's happening. Instead, "if I move my to " is much more beneficial. Or, when you say, "if he takes here," or "takes, takes, takes", when you're showing possible theoretical moves, perhaps, "if he takes ", or "take on , take on , then take on " owuld be much more helpful. That way I can use my board to follow the game, since I can't see the video. Other than this possible improvement, I'm loving your stuff.

Great stream. You were crushing it first half! You could tell you were just more relaxed and having fun. The queen for two pieces just seemed like a bridge too far at this level. 🙃 That last game I was celebrating your comeback victory then was like "wait, what????" You got robbed! Super exciting anyway! Thanks for the great content.

These are the most helpful videos, watching Hikaru play bullet or blitz doesn’t help, it’s too quick and his level is so high , Nelson’s level is attainable, (I am 1790) watching Nelson really think and play methodically and always think about his opponents threats makes you try do the same . Really helpful,

This is why I don't really enjoy fast chess, my initial reaction if I were playing white would be to do exactly the same thing at 3:18 because my dumb lizard brain says "Pawn for Bishop makes sense" when in reality the best move which took me a little longer was to calculate that Nd5 was a wayyyyy better move. I ran it on my analysis board and gxh3 is a blunder for the reason shown and literally drops the evaluation to dead even. Nb5 raises it to +4.3 because if you sack my Knight I take your queen and the best move for black after that is a standoff with Bg4 which delays/stops the attack. I understand why Rapid and Blitz are popular, but I feel like very often you get these reactionary moves as opposed to the best or even good moves outside the standard opening lines.

At 1:13:17, instead of getting 2 pieces for the queen, why not take the knight with the bishop instead, then QxR and then take the rook? That way, you get a knight and a rook for the queen (which is a little less bad).

At 1:14:42 in your 2nd game with iamprettyslow, I am thinking pinning the knight was the better choice. Then 1....Nxf3+ 2. gxf3 (forced because Nd2 forks the rooks) and the pawns are messed up in front of the King. Was there a good reason not to play this?
