That obvious mate at the end took a few seconds. 😂 It must be frustrating to run into this as a titled master taking your time and energy to teach the game to us all. Great video and appreciate your work. You as well as a couple of other chess content creators got me interested in chess once again after years of not playing or studiyng.

Nelson, thanks for all your great content, listening to you walk us through your lines of thinking and seeing you have human reactions to your opponents helps me both learn more, and helps me enjoy chess when I'm feeling burned out.

Lots of cheaters sub-1000 who start out playing like a clueless noob, then suddenly transform into Magnus in the mid-game. It keeps their accuracy down to avoid cheat detection algorithms.

I think cheat detection picks up on computer engine lines like so many moves deep if a player under 1000 played a few dubious moves in the opening then started following the engine think they may be flagged 🤔 especially if they always doing that 😅

When your playing the kings Indian I have found it to be very very useful to move your rook to E1 very very early (like move 5/6) so when they make the queen bishop battery u just move your bishop to h1 and white wasted 3 moves setting up nothing (rook move also supports e 5 break and x rays the king). Btw great video as always!

"The title "National Master" ,"NM" does not even exist in chess. This was a thing the Americans invented to feel better about themselves. ...they should end it." Gradmaster Jon Ludvig Hammer.
@samwinchester13262 ай бұрын
All titles are made up. Maybe you should go and try to become a national maste. I doubt that you could do it. Have some respect.
@samwinchester13262 ай бұрын
@@Third297 Also, I looked it up. It's standard practice for national chess organizations to award such titles. Here in Germany, we've had the same title for something like 150 years. Plus, I couldn't find any source where Jon Ludwig Hammer said anything like that. Why would he say that? Why should the FIDE titles be considered real and the titles from national chess organizations not? It doesn't make any sense. In the whole US, there are only about a thousand national masters, and they have 300 million citizens. Plus, the USA is one of the countries with the most chess players. If national chess organizations have a long history of awarding titles and continue to do so, it's hard to argue that these titles lack legitimacy. The recognition of skill in chess shouldn't solely rely on one organization like FIDE, especially when many players have earned respect and recognition in their own national contexts.
