Not necessarily dude. I can name plenty off the rip that made a good name of themselves using sound effects and sound tracks also have you never seen VHS? The king of found footage.. I’m a film student and so are most of us that make or film these movies along with drama or improv friends for projects and that’s just straight up not how it is.

Absolutely gorgeous! Well shot, acted and scripted. One of the top 5 online horror films I've seen. Maybe it got a little over the top at the end, and the cave interiors lost some of the cosy mystery of earlier scenes (I love the diner scenes, where it felt like this was an area where one could film TONS of low-key films, exploring murky mysteries) but by and large I LOVED this!!! Do more, please!!!!!

Whoa.. Great movie! I definatley wasn't expecting something this good and especially since I watch so many movies on YT that I actually struggle to find good ones that I haven't already seen. Seems like all that is left are crappy c-rated films (the C is for crap). Then I randomly clicked this film ready to cringe (C can stand for "cringe worthy" too) only to realize I finally found a gold nugget amongst a sea of flop films. This movie is totally worth a watch. Keeps you engaged. The actors were great and suited their charactors. Quality sound and film. Directed well. Totally keeps you on the edge of your seat with the story telling and what is to come. Just a good quality "found footage" horror film that I'd recommend if you're having a hard time finding one. Thanks for uploading this! ❤

I believe they were trying to go for a Lovecraft story, especially in the end. Unfortunately the ending felt like they had a couple of ideas and instead of settling on one idea they ended up just using all of them.

It was much better than I had expected! There was not too much boring stuff in the beginning, like in every other found-footage movie. The story was interesting and well-acted. I was pleasantly surprised. If you don't like found-footage movies because you didn't like Blair Witch Project, try this one.

The film is very slow to get going most of it would have happened over 30min but it was stretched out real thin. Your left with more questions than answers, and it never reaches a satisfactory ending, your just shocked that it ends the way it did because it dose not make sense… the footage when taken with the handheld makes you feel nauseous paranormal activity bought this kind of filming and I’m really not a fan as it dose make you physically ill. It just dose not jell as a good beginning, middle, and end. You don’t even get to know the characters it’s just goes straight in, nah not a fan sorry, it’s been done so many times before there was potential to make this a hit but it sadly missed the mark for me, acting was good though.

I would rate this a 5 out of 10. I greatly enjoyed the first half. The set up is very good but I think the film fumbles repeatedly once the characters enter the woods. I would have forgone the people on the horses and the cult members entirely. Their inclusion is kinda cheesy at best. And once they enter the mineshaft far more subtlety would have gone a long way. Explicitly showing supernatural events is a poor choice. Leaving the fates of these characters up to interpretation would make it far scarier. And the soundtrack is a terrible decision. It's supposed to be found footage. You can't have background music. And that also goes for the occasional shots that couldn't have been made by any of the characters too. It breaks immersion. It was an admirable attempt but I think you can do better.

2nd time watching. Put this movie up against Blair Witch, which is considered the touchstone of the genre and who wins? Why this movie, hands down. Viva found footage horror. Time for a big comeback AI and analogue horror just don't cut it for me. They have their own merits but FF still rocks. What a superb movie, needs more viewing to support it. Good work people👌
