On January 1st 2020 the Chester New Jersey Fire Company held their annual New Years Day Parade down Main Street, in what was most likely their biggest turn out of fire trucks and apparatus yet!

How does coverage work for something like this? Do they have a signal to pull out of the parade for a call or does an outside agency step in and stage for potential calls if so do they just sit in the trucks or do they have a staging point that allows them to download?

For this specific event, all companies were still in service and would have responded to a call in their district if needed

Shane Branin Interesting thing, the new engine is actually from Chester NY in Orange County. Not sure when they are getting their new engine. But they have a really nice tanker.

Shane Branin The other one retired and when I was in Chester in April of 2019, the part of the tanker that holds the gallons was dissembled like taken off.

To answer both questions, our new peterbilt tender was a refurb job that pierce handled. The only thing that was still usable off our retired ‘99 western star chassis was the lower body compartments. The old western star chassis was retired. Our new engine we should hopefully be taking delivery of in March 🤞🏻

And I must say brother if this video doesn't wind up your Q2B then your batteries are dead? That's every firefighters dream to be in a parade and put every audible siren to its limits! Thank you Federal Signal gods! In every Christmas parade we were always behind some dance group or high school band or there's always the ( don't blow that loud horn,or siren, you will hurt every one's ears ) every one except the one's that love to hear the ( call of the first responders) except this is definitely BEAST MODE ! I think every department Nation wide should have 1 day to do exactly this! Everyone that supports the first responders can come out and line the streets and the few that don't like it can simply stay home ! I wonder how many likes I'll get on this suggestion?
