Dude, I love that you love Chester. It's mad he doesn't get the props he deserves. Thing is, he's a poet and he's deep with it. Most kids don't get this. Taskforce were a huge part of the early noughties underground scene. This era is what turned me on to UK hip-hop. Massive respect for persisting with checking his stuff. He's a legend.

He’s a legend but totally humble with it. Love him. Deepest lyricist

Good to see someone genuinely appreciating this. You picked up on everything that's great about Chessmonster. Not just acting like you got it cos everyone said it's dope.

I cruise the reactions, this guy is one of the few I respect. He gives each bar time to breathe

I always enjoy hearing people react to chester P! Next up? Id suggest "the greatest story never told". It's funny as he says somthing in that track that reminds me of what you said about him "developing new styles just to show im deep"

Nice one! I was wondering how long it would take to get to this haha. All bars no filler! An MC's MC for real! I knew you would love this shit.

Colt 45 and 2 zig zags baby’s that’s all we need. Any time this came on at a party all the guys would drop everything and sing along word for word

Please do Melancholic Flowers by Chester P. It is this kind of subject matter and lyricism, with a great piano sample. One of his most underrated tracks.

Definitely do The Snake Charmer from the same album. The second verse on that, one of my favourite UK Hip-Hop verses ever!

if you liked this you should check out the whole Task Force album Voice of the great outdoors. cosmic gypsies with jehst and lowtax is one of their best tracks.

The track is dope. Whoever produced that beat did a great job. Combined with Chester's ability to ride the beat and remain consistent sonically through out the song...makes a pretty descent song. Good Job to Chester and the Producer.

The reviewer nearly has enough vocab to review this masterpiece. No hate. I can see he feels the contradiction inherent in finding your comforts in deep insecurities. The issue is the audience for this music is why it gets no attention. The contents of the track mirror the effects of the track.

Second verse of The Snake Charmer from the same album for me is the best verse but this is a better overall track.

Maybe for some, the best verse of 2009......but ever......no. Go listen to Hijack - Doomsday Of Rap (89), Hold No Hostage (89), Style Warriors Revenge (91), The Horns of Jericho album (1990). 25 years earlier. This is sick for sure but we have pumped out boom bap rap since the 80's picking any of his verses as THE BEST EVER, well, frankly, it's delusional.......it's very very good, defo top tier but best ever is too much a stretch for me.
@user-sm4fp2jo1o4 жыл бұрын
@@Ecstasio What's with the super old school tracks? Again, not even relevant. bar for bar, written down, can't hold a candle to this verse. I think you are missing the point.
