Chester Zoo is a centre of excellence for conservation breeding and management & they really do put their animals first. Quite often you may not see the animals as they are not there to be on ‘show’. They have huge enclosures which is of priority to the trust, rather than smaller, which provides a more ‘valuable’ experience for the visitors only, like in other uk zoos. All of the locals that told you what an amazing place it is, will have that understanding, which makes it one of the best… (for the animals) xx

You’d love Whipsnade Zoo! That’s been my favourite so far, I much preferred it to Chester 👌🏼. You can drive in but I’d recommend you don’t, it’s really not necessary. It’s a big zoo but very doable, amazing enclosures!

Julie there was a drama on bbc a few years back called OUR ZOO and it’s all about the founder of chester zoo and how the zoo started It’s so good and I think Atticus will enjoy it xx

Nice vlog, you should try Yorkshire Wild life park in Doncaster. That’s a good day out and you get to interact with some of the animals. It’s a walk round wildfire park. X

I work at Chester zoo and we’re currently doing a lot of improvements to the zoo so it seems very chaotic. Most of our animals are not seen very often as they are there for conservation reasons not purely to entertain. It may seem disappointing but that’s the luck of the draw unfortunately

The water in the chimps enclosure is probably used as a moat, chimps don’t mind water to play in but not to swim, so the moat may be deeper in the area where you was standing so they won’t go that far. When you see enclosures with no nets or fencing whatever is close to the fences it’s more than likely to be a moat to keep them in as they won’t cross it. 😊

We’ve found that you see more animals when it is warmer. Every time we’ve been to a zoo in the cooler months, they’ve given us a return pass as all the animals stay in the warm. That’s probably why you didn’t see everything you wanted to x

If would like see a snowleopard we saw one at lake district at one of the zoos there 😊 Its called lakeland wildlife oasis its got meercats and snowleopards and nice tropical area its nice x

I have got news for you Chester Zoo is not all that and you dont see alot of animals at all and its over priced as well i go only because my son is special needs and he likes it there but i wouldent personally go.

blackpool zoo is 100 times better than chester. and atticys would love the animal talks especially the performing seals. and the animals are closer to you. so you get to see all of them. the wolf is hard to spoot but he is beautiful
