Took a trip to VA to see the home of one of the greatest American Generals of all time. Lewis B. Puller. Also stopped by the home which is now vacant. I was careful not to disturb anything at the home and restricted myself to the front walkway.

Thank you, thank God, thanks Chesty. The testament on my dashboard was carried out of Chosin by my grandfather, a First, a sergeant plucked from his grandparents, farming on Moccasin Bend, formed from the long Pacific path from Pelilu to Okinawa. Had we not had Chesty, nothing like our modern problems would be likely. Truman likely as not might've glassed the Peninsula to try to show Mao just exactly how impressed he was with the People's Army. Grace, God, guns, and guts, indeed (short range mortars/heavy weapons & small unit tactics [Baker Bandits!]) gave us all the chance to make it better -- and Sgt. Paul J. Stewart did that too. Thank you all, y'all.

Due to health issues, I could never become a Marine and hands down, the Marine Corps is my absolute favorite branch of service. I do however gain loads of inspiration both from the recruits as they make their transformation from recruit to Marine and also from Chesty. The example he set and the things he said stick with me.

@@smprfly Chesty is most definitely the best! He had the ability to turn a situation that the odds were totally against him, the Army wrote his battalion off as a loss, then immediately turn it to HIS favor and cause more enemy casualties than anyone! " we're surrounded, that simplifies the problem " . Thank you, Chesty Puller!
