Chet Atkins is my favorite guitarist , even though there's many great guitar players out there . Saw him 5 times live and each time he was great. Please remember, he played all styles of music, country, classical, jazz, rock, and popular. Thank God for this special musician. He's helped inspire a lot of musicians and others to happiness.

A story that Chet was on cruise with wife; one night asked band guitarist if he could play during break. Afterwards, guest (who didn't recognize him, stopped by his table and told him "you're good, but you're no Chet Atkins". Chet C.G.P

I had the privilege of meeting Chet twice in my life and it was such an honor. Since then, I have done concert events for guitarists like Stephen Bennett, Muriel Anderson and the great Richard Smith, who can play anything that any of them ever played. Chet started a certain style that only a few guitarists can do. He will always be regarded as perhaps my favorite guitarist of all time, regardless of the genre.

First time I have seen/heard this rendition. But it doesn't matter. With the exception of the hardware, Chet Atkins created the guitar. GOAT, bar none. No slight to other genres, but ask them...who inspired them? Not a one will not mention the legendary Chet Atkins. Reason I begged my parents for a $12 guitar when I was 10....Been playing, (with a few upgrades, lol) for over 60 years now. Thanks, CA for giving the world your gift, and showing the versatility of this great instrument.
