I'm gettin more and more into Nicola Stilo. Very unique style of piano and just right guitar for Chet in these late recordings. Hard to find Nicola just playing guitar if anyone knows of or wants to post more clips of Nicola it would be hugely appreciated. Slyme

Slyme: Live in Rosenheim is a record that was made after this, just before Baker died. There is a very good live duet on "I'm Getting Sentimental over You" by Ellington, where Stilo plays acustic guitar. It is really something.

A NICOLA STILO lo habías escuchado como parte de una de las bandas que CHET BAKER montaba durante su periplo final por Europa. Claro que era flautista impresionante y gran guitarrista. Pero lo que ni te imaginabas es que Nicola fuera también ese pianista para esta banda en concreto. Claro que esto fue posible ya con KZbin, en donde puedes ver los videos. Nicola Stilo toca increíble y hermoso el pianoforte, que ni lo sospechabas. Esas armonías son muy conmovedoras, y su 'touch' era propio de un pianista, pianista

Eine tolle Version...was Nicola Stillo hier am Klavier zaubert, ist toll und auch Chet ist in Bestform. Bewegend! Leider gibt es diese Version wohl nicht auf CD. Die Version auf dem Album "As time goes by" (timeless) ist gut, aber lange nicht so schön und elegant wie diese herausragende Aufnahme hier. Chets Vermächtnis!
