13:00 ma'am you also need to mention that in Btitish English, "have been" will be used with 'jury' instead of has been. This concept is the most confusing in my exam preparations because the competitive Exam books are all divided on this issue. Some take Jury as a singular collective noun and hence use "has, has been, is, was" with it (like you have done) while others (like the English Grammar book for competitive exams by Disha Publications) uses "are, have been, were" with Jury. When we google or ask ChatGPT, the response says that in American English "has" will be used and in British "have"

No... the examples were given for either or neither, which are used for one out of two or none.... The moment you use 'as well as', the subject becomes plural. Here we need to use have

About the equipments and computers,how did you differentiat uncountable with countable nouns?what are the criterias?
@AjayKumar-s2m1lАй бұрын
Y_eah so countable is something you can count like 5 trucks, 8 books whereas uncountable refers to something that is impossible to count like sugar, units of metric measures like kg can be used, but if it is necessary to signify the amount of that specific substance needed,it's uncountable 5 sugar ❌(without metric measures) _5kg_ sugar✅(with metric measures) =Uncountable _5_ tomatoes✅ _5 kg_ tomatoes ✅ =Countable. Again, 3 grain rice does not make rice countable, the noun must be just after the number without any other word except 'of' or an article or any other word like that, otherwise it's uncountable,like 1. I need 5 tomatoes 2. I need 5 _of_ those tomatoes, so, still countable whereas "I need _5 kg_ of sugar" Here there is a metric measures, so it's uncountable whether stars are countable or uncountable is still a debatable topic.! There are many other once, the criteria of countable nouns is that it should come just after the number or 'of'or and article and if 'of or an article' is used, 'of' or an article should be before the number denoting 'how many' and if this is not full filled and there is a metric measures, I repeat,only when there is a metric measures like kg (of weight) then it is uncountable noun, which is not countable or infinite_ §
