Can't wait to see it, I pray they included one of his peers of the time which is the first black French army General aside Napoleon Bonaparte. His name is Thomas-Alexandre Dumas, he's also the father of the renowned French writer Alexander Dumas. He just happens to be the writer of The Three Musketeers, and The Count of Monte Crisco. They truly need to stop leaving these great contributors to world history out of the books because of clear hatred and bigotry.

That racist Napoleon did his best to erase him from history because of his scorn for black people. That’s why he is not better known. There is, however, still a street named after him in Paris.

@@MsAppassionata Facts!!! Just look at what happened to Haiti. Haitian slaves defeated the powerful Napolean army and liberated themselves from the bondage of slavery. But that freedom came at a price...in order to risk not being attacked by France once more, they had to pay a financial debt to France which was equivalent to trillions of dollars in today's society........Haiti became the first free black republic in the world!!!

@@misspanama6963 They had to pay their former slave masters because of the financial loss they incurred as a result of their slaves being freed by the revolution. The slave had to pay the slave master, so as not to be re-enslaved. How f**ked up is that? 🤦🏾‍♀️

Love it my only criticisms are Joseph learned fencing before he learnt the violin , it's through fencing that he kind developed his particular style of playing so the idea that that's how he got into skls is weird. He was the son of an aristocrat who worked for the king at the time. The children of aristocrats went to these skls and in the heartland of the French empire slavery was illegal . two he was taller than ur average Frenchman he towered over them it's one of the things the women at the time loved he was tall and beautiful and exotic. Other than that great I love to see it. Next it hope dumas is done well and with justice

@@nolanmaxwell3167 Well to start with Marie-Antoinette did NOT "anoint him" chevalier (made him a knigth) like told or implied in the trailer... He was self-made and earned the title in 1766 upon graduating from the Royal Academy and becoming a gendarme of the King way before Marie-Antoinette even landed in France.

Alain Guédé pg 120 "In 1774 the young queen Marie-Antoinette, then 19 years old, invited the Chevalier to come and play music with her. The court thought that by now it was used to the liberties the young queen took with protocol. The arrival of the 'colored' man into her immediate entourage, however, was a bombshell, particularly since he wasn't there to serve beverages or wave a fan. Saint-George would become Marie-Antoinette's musical advisor and even for some time her music teacher. Practically every day Saint-George's path crossed that of Louis XVI."
