The Teutonic Knights are a military and religious order founded in the early 13th century, which played a major role in the Crusades and in the colonization and Christianization of Eastern Europe. The Teutonic Knights are distinguished by their Germanic origins, their hospitable vocation and their military discipline.
But also by their administrative organization, their ascetic lifestyle, their impressive network of fortifications and their control of a vast territory, known as the Teutonic State. In this video, I'm going to tell you the fascinating story of the Teutonic Knights, a military and religious order that played an important role in the Crusades and the colonization of Eastern Europe.
