yeah, that breaking sound you're talking about is actually a window breaking in their studio while they were recording this because of the massive amounts of bass coming from the instruments.

i love how crazy they get at 4:08. that part of the song is my favorite in the album version (sounds like brick through a window or something). really intensifies the music.

@jmd11185 I agree, but this comment was dated 2 years ago. Chevelle isn't exactly an old band. I love some of their stuff too, but my favorite albums are Wonder What's Next and This Type of Thinking; have you heard Hats Off to the Bull yet? how's that? I personally prefer heavy Chevelle over soft Chevelle, though don't get me wrong they're both ways
