What's even more remarkable to me is that Peter Loeffler, the singer/guitarist of Chevelle, has that rather sweet accent when he sings and speaks. In addition of having that Chicago accent, it also has some lilting Celtic-tinge though it (I guess, hence his Irish middle name 'Doherty'). Ughhh. I absolutely love it! It's pretty evident when I was listening to this, 'Comfortable Liar,' 'Family System,' 'Vitamin R,' "Emotional Drought," and "Well Enough Alone." Am I the only one telling this whole story? Heh heh heh. Talk about a Chicagoan hard rocker with such sexy accent! Pete became one my favorite musicians since my introduction to the band.

This song (amongst most of their songs) is straight aural ecstasy. Between the harmonious vocals, lyrical angst, melodic guitar riffs... perfectly complement one another. My younger brother committed suicide last weekend by overdosing on something. He was found with headphones on, presumably listening to something. This is his youtube account. He made a playlist containing 6 songs that was edited the day he passed. This is one of the 6 songs. With the method he used, he was dead after about 30 minutes, probably unconscious around 12 minutes. I like to think that it was peaceful for him with his music on. I hate when people say that chevelle is underrated. Anyone that knows their songs knows the talent. Imo, they just haven't had the exposure and spotlight of some groups. NIRATIAS got them a lot of clout, though and was a fantastic album. Can't wait for the next!
