Thank you for this. I finally did this today and not only can my car start up immediately after filling up, but my engine performance also increased. I was having delayed and rough gear shifts, and became concerned that I was having transmission issues - nope, literally just a bad air-fuel mixture.

I had an additional symptom. My Cruze would idle even more rough when it was running and take the gas cap off (to the point of sputtering out). I replaced this part, took the gas cap off while it was running and works like her old self again. Gas mileage has also increased

Thank you for this! My Cruze does crank and start immediately, but runs kinda rough for about a minute or so. I did the air intake sensor which has helped with the idle, but this issue persisted. Might be this purge part.

That turbo stuff I thought was that turbo that open and close the turbo but was not that was that thing on top the engine that circle with whole that was my turbo under boost problem

hi! I believe it had something to do with the sensors but also i needed something underneath done that costed around $1200 so I had to move on from it! It also could have been the engine was misfiring. How old is your cruze? @@tatianadetherage399

My 2011 Chevy Cruze Lt 1.4 turbo starts up fine after getting gas but stalls very shortly after getting gas like leaving the gas station. Changed all the sensors same code really trying to get it to stop stalling and buying parts

I have a 2012 chevy sonic that would pretty much stall out after every fill up. I changed to a OEM gas cap and nothing. A few weeks later I replaced my purge valve with a OEM and BOOM everything works fine again. FYI I did buy a cheapo purge valve a few months earlier to safe a few bucks but in the end , it wasn't worth it......BUY OEM
